As a proud signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), AIM Elevate Ventures and Founder & CEO Ira Agarwal were deeply honoured to be invited to the UN Women India meet commemorating World Youth Skills Day 2026.
The event brought together inspiring leaders, changemakers, organisations and ecosystem partners united by a shared commitment to advancing youth skilling, women’s economic empowerment, inclusive entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
World Youth Skills Day is a powerful reminder that equipping young people with relevant, future-ready capabilities is essential to building inclusive economies, resilient communities and sustainable livelihoods. As Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation and emerging technologies reshape industries, we must ensure that young people—especially young women and those from underserved communities—have equitable access to education, technology, mentorship, markets and leadership opportunities.
A particularly inspiring highlight was learning more about WeSTEM—an impactful initiative enabling young women to pursue education, careers, entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities across Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
